Senior Product Designer

Designing tools for the people who build the world.

I'm Emily, a product designer with 9+ years of experience shaping complex B2B products, from timekeeping for construction crews to self-service tools for e-commerce teams. I set the vision for net-new products, build the systems that keep them consistent, and partner closely with engineering to ship them.

How I work

Beyond the pixels

Designs that are functionally beautiful, and the processes that help teams communicate, stay accurate, and move faster.

Product strategy

I set the vision for net-new products and connect them to the business, from a hackathon idea that became a SKU to tying field progress to project financials.

  • Vision for 0→1 products
  • Cross-product alignment
  • Research, discovery & validation

Systems thinking

I've built design libraries from scratch twice, with the components, patterns, and principles that keep products consistent from design to development.

  • Design systems & libraries
  • Design principles
  • Consistent experiences across products

Leadership & partnership

I lead design across product teams, mentor designers, and work side by side with engineers to improve how teams communicate and ship.

  • Mentorship & coaching
  • Design reviews & QA
  • Engineering partnership

About

A little about me

I studied psychology at UC San Diego before moving into design, and understanding how people think still shapes how I work. I start with research and discovery, test ideas early, and carry them through to high-fidelity screens and prototypes.

Most of my work is in complex B2B software, where getting the details right saves real people real hours. I care about designs that are functionally beautiful, and about the processes that help design and engineering teams communicate clearly and ship with confidence.
